Psychiatrist Robert B. Jones fired, under investigation for fraud

On April 22, 2013, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported that state-employed psychiatrist Robert B. Jones was fired following an investigation into false claims billing.

Jones, who worked in the state’s psychiatric hospitals, billed the state for his services during times when he was actually working at his private practice and/or his family farm, according to findings documented in three investigators’ reports.

Additionally, Jones is now under investigation for false Medicaid billings which represent possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars.
