State suspends psychiatrist Shawna Mohney Deeves due to threats, delusions

On October 8, 2013, the Texas Medical Board issued a press release announcing the temporary suspension of the license psychiatrist Shawna Mohney Deeves, on the determination that Deeves’ aggressive conduct and documented deteriorating mental state demonstrated that she poses a continuing threat to public health and safety.

The Board found that Deeves’ communications with other physicians as well as staff have been delusional and threatening.
