Psychiatrist sued by 12 former patients for alleged sexual abuse and assault

October 16, 2017

A civil lawsuit was filed against Dr. Alan Emamdee and the facility he worked at by 12 of his former patients who accuse him of sexual abuses and assaults.  The lawsuit was filed in the First Judicial District of New Mexico.

The complaint claims Emamdee exploited his trust with his patients by committing sexual misconduct and abuse and that he forced them into situations where alleged sexual abuse took place.  The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount of damages.

Emamdee was arrested in July on accusations of six counts of criminal sexual penetration in the first degree (by use of force or coercion) and five counts of criminal sexual conduct.
