Two Louisiana psychiatrists charged with health care fraud

The Department of Justice announced today that two Louisiana psychiatrists were charged for their alleged participation in a health care kickback scheme and a home health care fraud scheme.  

Muhammad Kaleem Arshad, M.D., 62, and Padmini Nagaraj, M.D., 60, of Kenner, Louisiana, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to receive illegal health care kickbacks, three counts of receiving illegal health care kickbacks, one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and five counts of health care fraud.
