Psychiatrist loses license in three states

February 21, 2007

On February 21, 2007 the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners accepted the surrender of psychiatrist Robert A. Savadove's license to practice medicine. This action was based on the results of an investigation undertaken by the Maine Board on Dr. Savadove, which had received a report that Dr. Savadove had a sexual relationship with a patient. Dr. Savadove surrendered his Maine license after receiving notice that the Maine Board was initiating a complaint against him. The surrender of his Maine license constituted a final action. Additionally, Dr. Savadove also surrendered his license to practice in the state of New York following notice of the Maine complaint.
