Washington State revokes mental health counselor Jennifer Rice's license following criminal charge for sex with 10-year-old

November 14, 2007

On November 14, 2007 the Washington State Department of Health revoked registered counselor Jennifer L. Rice's license. Washington State documents state that Ms. Rice took a 10-year-old boy on a car trip without his parents' permission and that during that trip, she engaged in sexual intercourse with the boy in a rest stop. The documents also state that she engaged in sexual intercourse with the boy on four or five other occasions, including once in the boy's room and that she admitted these incidents to law enforcement officers. She may not reapply for licensure for 20 years. She has been criminally charged with six counts of first-degree child rape, four counts of first-degree child molestation and two counts of third-degree child rape.1
