IN THE MATTER OF
DANIEL PAUL GOLIGHTLY

On September 14, 2005, the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners suspended indefinitely psychiatrist Daniel Golightly's license to practice. The Board's Public Consent Order states that Dr. Golightly "has a history of chemical dependency and entered into a public consent order with the board on or about November 6, 1987 which subjected his license to a period of probation (which was) terminated on October 5, 1994. However, the document states that in February 2005, Dr. Golightly's clinical privileges at the Ridgeview Institute were suspended when he "exhibited relapse behavior." Dr. Golightly completed a substance abuse treatment program in February 2006. On May 5, 2006, the suspension was lifted and his license was put on indefinite probation with conditions placed upon his prescribing practices and use of controlled substances.
