Acadia Healthcare: Appeals Court Allows Sexual Assault Suit to Proceed against Timberline Knolls

A patient who says she was sexually assaulted by an employee at an Illinois residential treatment facility can proceed with direct liability claims against the facility, a state court ruled. The woman, suing as Jane Doe, alleged the facility failed to properly train, monitor, or supervise the employee or warn patients of a risk posed by him.
