Arkansas Psychologist Krameelah Banks Indicted for Fraud, Lying to FBI, More

Arkansas psychologist Krameelah Banks, 48, was indicted on 23 counts of wire fraud, seven counts of making false statements in health care, one count of lying to the FBI, and one count of aggravated identity theft.

Banks, owner of Arkansas Behavioral Center (ABC), is accused of billing Medicare and Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield for thousands of hours of psychotherapy that never occurred, including sessions for patients seen only once for pre-surgical evaluations, sessions while she was traveling, and sessions for patients who had died, causing insurers to lose over $500,000.
