Finnish Appeals Court Upholds Life Sentence of Psychiatrist Roope Bob Tikkanen for Murder of Wife

Finland’s Court of Appeal has affirmed the life sentence of 51-year-old psychiatrist Roope Bob Tikkanen, who was convicted of murdering his wife in their Ullanlinna home in December 2022. The appellate court agreed with the District Court that the killing met the threshold for murder due to its exceptional brutality and found Tikkanen criminally responsible.
