Jackson Springs Treatment Center: Lawsuit Alleges Sexual Abuse of Teen by Staff, a Convicted Felon

A lawsuit has been filed in Moore County (North Carolina) that alleges a former staff member at Jackson Springs Treatment Center, a psychiatric residential treatment facility for children, sexually abused a 17-year-old girl at the facility in 2018. The suit claims the accused employee—a convicted felon who previously served 14 years in federal prison for armed bank robbery—was negligently hired, inadequately supervised, and later reassigned to another youth facility despite abuse allegations.
