Michigan Psychologist Jeremy Tacon Among "Prominent Men" Facing Federal Child Porn Charges

Federal prosecutors have charged three Detroit professionals, including licensed psychologist Jeremy Tacon, with possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material following an FBI investigation that began with the arrest of a Toledo man who attempted to sexually abuse a fictitious child. The other two professionals are a prominent Detroit attorney, and a physical rehabilitation doctor.

According to FBI affidavits, seized phones and storage devices contained graphic chats among the men discussing sexual abuse of children, requests for and receipt of child sexual abuse material, and explicit fantasies involving minors, including infants and toddlers; investigators allege the men used encrypted messaging apps such as Telegram, attempted to delete evidence during searches, and in some messages openly described themselves as pedophiles.
