Minnesota Psychiatrist Abby N. Fredrickson Sentenced in Two Criminal Cases

February 9, 2026

Minnesota psychiatrist Abby Fredrickson was arrested and charged on April 14, 2025 for her alleged involvement in a drive-by murder.

The murder occurred on April 13th in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Information contained in court records indicates that, following the shooting, Fredrickson fled Moorhead with the murder suspect, later identified as being her boyfriend. The pair were apprehended the next day near Ishpeming, Michigan by that city's police department and Michigan State Police. Fredrickson was charged with aiding an offender.

Prior to her alleged involvement in this incident, Fredrickson had been charged twice (in two different Minnesota counties) with possession of a firearm without a permit.

On February 23, 2025 in Hubbard County, Minnesota, Fredrickson was pulled over for speeding. The officer who pulled her over, in running her identification at the scene, found that she was already on pre-trial release in another Minnesota county for possession of a firearm without a permit. The officer confirmed that Fredrickson was again in possession of a firearm without a permit, which she disclosed was under the driver’s seat.

On October 29, 2025, Fredrickson entered a guilty plea to the charge of carrying or possessing a pistol without a permit in a public place, second or subsequent offense--a felony. Frederickson was sentenced October 29, 2025 to time served of 185 days in jail and a $210 in fines and other charges.

Previously, on October 16, 2025, relative to the murder case, Fredrickson entered a plea of guilty to the charge of aiding an offender, accomplice after the fact for 1st Degree Murder--a felony.

On February 9, 2026, Fredrickson was sentenced to 302 days in county jail, for which she was given credit for time served; five years’ probation under the MN Dept. of Corrections; 100 hours’ community service; and fines and other charges totaling $1,660.

Prior to her criminal prosecutions, Fredrickson engaged in telemedicine through the company Array Healthcare and was licensed in Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, Washington, and Wisconsin.
