Saudi Psychiatrist Taleb Jawad al-Abdulmohsen on Trial for Murder

Fifty-one year-old Saudi psychiatrist Taleb Jawad al-Abdulmohsen is on trial in Magdeburg, Germany, for driving an SUV through a Christmas market on December 20, 2024, killing six people—including a 9-year-old boy—and injuring more than 300 others.

Prosecutors said he deliberately aimed to kill a large number of people, motivated by anger and extremist views. Abdulmohsen, who admitted driving the vehicle but showed no remorse.
