Family Help & Wellness/Wilderness Training & Consulting: Lawsuit Alleges Sexual Assault at Trails Carolina

A lawsuit filed in Wake County Superior Court claims a then-16-year-old was sexually assaulted in 2018 while attending Trails Carolina wilderness camp. The suit also claims staff failed to document the report of the assault at the time.

According to court documents, the lawsuit takes aim at Wilderness Training and Consulting, an Oregon-based wilderness treatment company that ran Trails Carolina from 2010 until its closing.
