New York Juvenile Justice Psychologist Maya Hayes Recants Guilty Plea to Sex Charges, Will Stand Trial

A psychologist who had previously admitted to sexually abusing youths at a Columbia County juvenile detention center, will be going to trial after all.

Maya Hayes was arrested back in April 2024 after allegations that she would make patients at the Brookwood Secure Center perform sex acts or attack other youths.
