Chicago Law Firm Files Suit against Psychology Practice and Intern, Alleging Sexual Abuse Led to Patient Suicide

(December 10, 2025) The family of Anabelle Hauter has filed a lawsuit against Insight Psychological Centers, and the Chicago Psychological Health & Wellness Corp. for their role in her mental health treatment, during which she was sexually abused by her therapist, Matthew D. Rounds, over a period of several years. The lawsuit, filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, seeks justice for the emotional damages Anabelle suffered, which ultimately led to her tragic death by suicide on July 24, 2024, at just 21 years old.
